MAA Lead Service Technicians are working leaders that spend their day among the valued residents, beautiful grounds and inviting apartment homes. At the general supervision of the Community Leader (with oversight from the Regional Service Director), the Lead Service Technician works to insure that all apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order and maintained to acceptable standards for MAA and for residents.

It is important for this person to feel comfortable with delegating tasks and assignments to members of the service team and perform tasks as needed. This is a working Lead Service Technician position with duties that include responding to service requests, preparing apartment homes for rent availability, performing painting and landscape duties.

All MAA associates must successfully clear a background investigation to include but may not be limited to: criminal,background check, pre-employment drug screening and an employment verification process. Weekend and after hours work may be required.

Required Skills

Skilled in heating and air conditioning unit repair and maintenance.

Skilled in the repair and maintenance of household appliances, plumbing and lighting fixtures.

Professional business communication and good organizational skills required.

Ability to operate specialized tools efficiently.

Ability to lead, guide and direct the work of others.

HVAC certification - CAMT or CAMT II a plus.

Valid Driver License.

Required Experience

Three years work experience in home mechanical and maintenance work

Experience working in environmental and physical challenging working conditions.

Experience lifting objects 50lbs or above regularly.
