We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team in our New Haven facility.

The Business Systems Analyst assists in providing technical and application subject matter expertise on Finance's application's (i.e.. SAP-FICO & Powerplant, etc) and understands the application(s) from a business perspective. Ability to understand integration between systems and various SAP modules. Works with business area and project teams to ensure the business requirements of the proposed solution are incorporated into the design specifications. Stays current on applications in use within business area. Works in conjunction with Sr. Business System Admin in setting work priorities, conflict resolution and timely deliverables. Provide high level of support to the Business Area with emphasis on various technologies (including/but not limited to Powerplant and SAP) used and systems deployed by the area. Including knowledge of system operations, data retrieval and reporting. Participate in planning and issue resolution meetings. Perform system administration tasks including but not limited to application security, configuration, coordinating data loads and system integration, maintenance and upgrades. Ensure system compliance with audit and regulatory controls. Create testing strategies for proposed solutions and coordinate resources to plan and execute user acceptance testing. Coordinate system training for users. Provide training as required by the business area. Assist in development and documentation of training materials. Assist in monitoring system data. Coordinate setting up new users and access requests with IT. Research business areas current systems/applications and processes to identify potential risks and opportunity to promote process improvements based on best business practices and maximize functionality within current business systems. Recommend technical solutions to ensure systems are available and functioning properly for all users. Effectively communicate with both business users and IT resources regarding systems/application needs and issues. Promotes process improvements based on best practices and utilizing functionality within UI business systems. Establish needs priorities, functionality, standards, procedures and document for technical solutions.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or other technical discipline and five years of experience in a business environment which includes three years of direct experience providing Business System Analyst support.
