Distribution Manager NAM - TLS - NEW0006T Description Summary
      Directs warehousing activities for organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
      • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
      • Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
      • Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
      • Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
      • Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
      • Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.

      Supervisory Responsibilities

      Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

      Qualifications
      1. Bachelor’s Degree in Associated field

      2. 10+ yrs. progressive to management level in warehouse, distribution and logistics experience .

      3. Experience in the implementation of barcoding, packaging solutions and other innovative distribution, warehousing and logistics solutions.

      4. Strong, demonstrable skills in development of people, attaining a strong working partnership with non-direct reports and managing and improving multiple, geographically dispersed sites.

      5. Strong oral, written and presentation skills for a variety of levels, including Executive. The point I am trying to cover here is all the communication points mentioned and can handle depot and warehouse level through the Tommy and higher level

      6. Exposure and understanding of production environment for electronic and mechanical including production scheduling and lean manufacturing.

      7. Exposure to and understanding of all other Supply Chain functions, including Procurement, Material Planning and Logistics.

      8. ERP system implementation, troubleshooting and reporting experience in all facets of Distribution/Warehousing, with SAP preferred.

      9. Strong Microsoft Office Skills and advanced Excel knowledge necessary.
