The Community Outreach Coordinator reports to the Vice President of Community Outreach and will also work on behalf of The PIMCO Foundation. The mission of The PIMCO Foundation is to empower people globally to reach their full potential.

Responsible for assisting with PIMCO’s Corporate Social Responsibility program including, but not limited to:
• Manage relationships with non-profit partners to ensure appropriate representation in PIMCO external and internal communications
• Plan and implement internal/external events and campaigns for PIMCO’s non-profit partnerships (example: Tools for Tomorrow Financial Literacy Program)
• Support and advance the firm’s community involvement strategy including helping to develop new initiatives with accompanying business case justification
• Liaise with senior business leadership to align PIMCO business objectives with ongoing community and engagement efforts
• Work directly with external organizations (and occasionally media) on partnership efforts and delivery
• Work to support and plan compelling internal communications and internal/external events
• Represent the firm at numerous external functions and benefit events
• Conduct presentations about the firm’s community involvement program(s) for employees upon request
Position Requirements

• Exhibit passion for corporate social responsibility
• Adept at organizational, strategic planning and project management skills, including proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and meet multiple, critical deadlines
• Able to readily establish internal relationships with PIMCO’s community outreach team, business unit heads and executive team as well as maintain a broad network of business contacts outside of PIMCO
• A diplomatic, relationship builder with strong professional presence and demonstrated ability to influence others
• Able to speak in front of large and small groups and act as a representative of the firm at external events
• Understand PIMCO’s history, vision and passion and how to develop CSR programs that authentically align
• Understand non-profit, civic and community groups
• Able to think globally beyond the boundaries of the United States and see opportunities to expand reach of PIMCO’s CSR program
• Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Internet required for daily work
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years’ experience working with corporate social responsibility programs and strategy/non-profit organizations/communications/event planning
