Our Sports Studio provides professional services for envisioning, planning, and designing sports, recreation, and athletic facilities, nationwide. This Studio enjoys a strong reputation of having passionate, creative, and detail-oriented people who are dedicated to this marketplace.
This position collaborates across the nation with other design professionals, clients, and the public in a creative environment focused on sports related facilities. We are looking for individuals with proven award-winning design leadership and great problem solving skills who can effectively communicate design ideas and solutions in this Studio.
Located in central Iowa, our offices in Des Moines and Ames have vibrant environments with excellent opportunities for professional growth. Des Moines is the capital of Iowa and a diverse community of approximately 200,000 residents with recreational facilities, park system and a variety of quality schools. Ames is home to Iowa State University and offers many educational, cultural and recreational activities.
Requirements for Sports Project Architect
Ideal candidates will be doer-sellers, capable of producing wonderful facilities and marketing the firm's services to prospective clients. These candidates are licensed architects with five or more years experience in planning, designing, documenting, and constructing sports, recreation, and athletic facilities; generating prospects, developing client confidence, and leading efforts to conceive, design and present sophisticated projects to knowledgeable clientele.
They will have solid verbal skills; conceptual sketching, computer drafting, and presentation graphic skills; process broad technical knowledge; construction detailing, materials, and field experience; and demonstrated success identifying, cultivating, and securing new clients.
They will be proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office applications.
Bachelor Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
LEED Accreditation preferred and experience in multi-disciplinary environments beneficial.
