Job Title: Grocery Manager - Harveys
Responsible for maintaining high company standards and maximizing sales through excellent customer service. Rotate and organize product in accordance with Harveys policy. Assist in preparation of store for physical inventory counts. Prepare written short orders for store-to-store transfers and billing items back to distribution. Participate with store merchandising (i.e. building displays, stocking wall of value, holiday and seasonal merchandising). Assist with and/or oversee the unloading of stock trucks from distribution centers. Placement of only saleable merchandise on the grocery shelves. Promptly handle deleted merchandise. Ensure Wednesday Super Savers are stocked as well as all weekly sale items. Assist in training, scheduling and maintaining a qualified stock crew. Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices. Ability to meet production standards established by Harveys.
Successfully complete all required training programs and requirements.
Must be able to use proper equipment and perform register functions.
Exhibit good customer service skills.
Must be able to handle situations that may arise while serving as the management person (i.e. robbery, power outage, shoplifting, etc.).
Basic understanding of computers and DSD check-in procedures.
Able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a “Certified Food Safety Manager” or will be required to attend company provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment. Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position in which it is required.
