The PCC Aerostructures Division of PCC, based in Bellevue, Washington, is a leading Tier II supplier of highly engineered metallic and composite parts, kits, and assemblies to the global aerospace industry. The business’ signature products can increasingly be found in new, high-production aircraft. PCC Aerostructures operates out of 36 facilities in the United States, Europe, and Asia and has a strong manufacturing supply chain capability in place to support customers globally.
Position Summary: The Business Integration and Continuous Improvement Manager will introduce a newly acquired company to the PCC continuous improvement toolbox and operating strategies. Work directly with the General Manager, Controller, HR and plant staff to understand PCC tools and methodologies and effectively implement them in their operating unit within specified timeframes. Understand performance gaps across the organization and work with the leadership team to improve performance to achieve continuous improvement in sales, EBIT and quality of earnings. Lead continous improvement initiatives at the Plant and Division levels.
Introduce and assist in the implemention of the Continuous Improvement toolbox
Work with the GM and the staff leadership team to understand PCC expecations and methodologies to deliver continuous improvement in safety, quality, Sales, EBIT and quality of earnings.
Understand the existing business and operational challenges. Bridge current performance with expectations and develop a plan to achieve desired results.
Show, by example, the appropriate utilization of all tools and assist the plant with implementing them effectively
Lead Cost Reduction and Utilization projects, including six sigma and lean initatives.
Develop and deploy management and plant metrics.
Identify and Implement Division best practices and processes.
Ability to influence, negotiate and gain committment at all organizational levels.
Possess high professional ethics, good judgement and ability to make critical and precise actions.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality controls, and costs
Extensive knowldege of the PCC continuous improvement Toolbox (financial, quality, operational)
Knowledge of machines, tools, and tooling including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Knowledge of lean techniques
Knowledge of ERP and similar production management systems
Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting of staff, material, and equipment resource allocation; corporate and human resource policies and benefits; leadership and teaming; and production methods
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing work area practices including 5-S, Visual Controls, Standard Work, work center metrics, and continuous improvement processes and able to instruct others in these practices
Demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate, develop and direct people.
