The Senior Sales Business Analyst’s primary responsibilities include sales quota development and sales performance management as well as business systems and financial analysis. Business systems analysis includes identifying and implementing business systems process improvements that support continual improvement efforts. Financial analysis includes compiling and analyzing financial information for Digi’s global sales organization, with an emphasis on quota attainment and business segment performance. This individual is responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for quota and sales performance planning and control.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
Manage regular sales performance attainment to quota calculation and reporting for Digi’s direct and indirect sales organization
Manage quarterly and annual sales quota development process
Provide analysis of sales organization quota, performance measurement, and KPI processes for continual improvement, automation and enhanced interdepartmental communication
Operate as department administrator for Digi’s sales compensation management system (Vaircent) and “super user” for other systems-related questions and user support
Identify and implement efficiencies in department processes supported by current application and enhancements to Varicent, Business Objects, and ERP LN
Streamline report generation, resulting in full automation, to allow for more emphasis on analysis. Where automation is not possible support the sales organization with Excel reports
Lead collaboration efforts between Sales/Sales Operations and IT for systems issues, upgrades and enhancements to support departmental needs
Utilize Access to stage and manipulate data
Validate data warehouse and POS report information
Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales reporting activities including other ad hoc financial and KPI analysis/reporting as required
Four year degree preferably in Finance or Accounting
Six to eight years of progressive experience in key financial positions, preferably focused on sales compensation
Ability to determine best method and identify sources of data for performing various business analyses
Strong systems knowledge to aid in the identification of factors that affect various financial measurements
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines
Good working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and data presentation
Good written and oral communication skills required. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of company personnel.
Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced environment required. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines and project requirements.
