This position is responsible for day-to-day activities related to payroll, benefits, and employee relations programs and client service. This position is responsible for human resources information including recordkeeping, reporting, and information management systems. This position provides administrative and project management support to the Human Resources management team.

Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration
  • First point of contact for employees.
  • Process employee enrollments and terminations as required.
  • Prepare and maintain related benefits records and reports.
  • Process vendor reports and invoices.
  • Administer Paid Time Off, Short Term Disability and leave of absence programs.
  • Adminster benefit and payroll processes and proceedures.
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll and benefits a plus.
  • Document workflow and work procedures.

Human Resource Management Systems
  • First point of contact for employees.
  • Process Payroll and HRMS for approximately 350 employees. Research and resolve problems, perform schedule activities, and liaison with service providers.
  • Document workflow and work procedures and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity.

Administration
  • Provide support to human resources team.
  • Compose and distribute routine written correspondence from human resources.
  • Collect, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including resumes.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper files.
  • Maintain human resources calendar.
  • Maintain administrative forms and manuals.

Other Duties

Other duties as assigned.

Supervision

Works under the direct supervision of the Director. This position does not supervise other personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Five years or more related HR experience preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of administration of benefit programs.
  • Knowledge of ADP tools required; Workforce now specific preferred
  • Experience processing payroll for a mid sized corporation
  • Strong PC skills a must with prior knowledge of HRIS (Oracle preferred but not required).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of employees a must.
