Sr. Director, eCommerce
The Sr. Director of eCommerce creates and drives significant and sustainable global business growth by collaborating with cross-functional and cross-geographical partners to manage all aspects of the eCommerce business worldwide including P&L management, business planning, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics and web technologies.
Summary of major duties:
Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans, including management of the global eCommerce P&L. Establish business reporting/KPI’s to ensure progress against objectives. Build talent within the eCommerce team with a focus on capability development.
Lead a cross-functional and cross-geographical team supporting the eCommerce strategy including portfolio development, creation of and management of A+ product pages, relevant innovation, and ensuring a best in class user experience (including site navigation, content development, etc.). Partner with key cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, the SBU’s, and local geographies to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects. Provide expertise on current eCommerce industry best practices.
Develop and oversee the effective online marketing campaigns and ensure efficient, accurate, timely web content publishing for all major eCommerce sites including those of our large brick and mortar retail customers
Develop and manage all aspects of web analytics and consumer/shopper insights related to eCommerce and ensure accurate measurement of ROI.
Develop a direct to consumer business and build capability by partnering with the Hershey Experience. Drive business profitability by increasing visitors, improving conversion rates, and manage margins for Hershey’s eCommerce business.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: MBA or equivalent
Experience: 5+ years of experience managing a CPG eCommerce business, including P&L management
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of eCommerce technology and analytics
Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate high impact initiatives.
Strong ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
Superb communication skills, including strong oral and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels.
Excellent management skills, with the ability to delegate and manage multiple priorities while generating positive relationships.
