JOB SUMMARY:
Clean machines, parts, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Operate high-pressure water hose.
2. Operate steam cleaner and chemical cleaning tanks.
3. Clean machines, parts, and equipment following department guidelines and procedures.
4. Provide quality-cleaning service to shops.
5. Perform work within set guideline hours.
6. Repair and maintain equipment and tools in the work area.
7. Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
2. Submit necessary reports, records, and data.
3. Cross train in all areas of the department to provide consistent workflow and coverage.
4. Operate machines and vehicles.
5. Own and maintain personal required tools (3/8 – 5/8 combination wrench set, 3 sizes screwdrivers, 10” adjustable wrench, putty knife, gasket scraper).
6. Maintain steam guns, cleaning tanks, high-pressure hoses and all other essential tools.
7. Maintain proper chemical PH level in all cleaning tanks and equipment to comply with city, state, federal and county regulations.
8. Properly dispose of all used Hazardous chemicals, containers, and materials.
9. Maintain all drains and grated trenches by removing the grates, cleaning and digging out the trenches.
10. Must accomplish training and serve as a Green Belt in support of EMPIRE's Six Sigma program.
11. Work within and promote corporate values.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Prefer previous experience in equipment and parts cleaning
2. Prefer previous heavy equipment operation experience
3. Must have ability to work with hazardous chemicals, solvents, strong soaps, and caustic cleaning chemicals or related cleaning agents on a daily basis.
4. Consistent attendance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
2. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
