Provide manufacturing support for multiple production programs through the development, implementation, and improvement of integrated processes involving weapon system teardown, assembly, and test. This assignment requires daily interaction supporting all work areas on a production team and reports directly to the Value Stream Manager.
Assignments will consist of increasing productivity and quality through value stream flow analysis and capacity/utilization planning, usage of labor, materials, equipment and procedures for most effective manufacturing processes. Approaches and tools used to achieve increased productivity may include; line-flow improvements, lean manufacturing efforts, time standards analysis, developing assembly, test, and inspection instructions. In addition the candidate selected for this job will be required to translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation. S/he will be expected to offer suggestions for improved or alternative approaches and be flexible and proactive in finding solutions.
A key responsibility is to provide direct support to Manufacturing processes and employees working on the production floor.
These activities will require significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. Demonstrated experience involving technical problem solving of moderate scope and complexity, working effectively under general supervision, consistency, sound organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively both via interpersonally and via presentations are basic expectations of this job.

Experience using lean manufacturing concepts to include but not limited to;
Basic understanding/ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings

Understand general workings of a shop floor control management system
Must have an existing or the ability to obtain an DoD issued Secret Security clearance. TS/SSBI preferred.
