Senior Safety Manager
The Construction Safety Manager (SM) provides oversight, monitoring, and guidance relative to project wide safety and security compliance for the City of Indianapolis Deep Rock Tunnel Connector, Pump Station and Associated Levee Improvement construction project. The project has multiple water-related construction projects of various kinds, including tunnels, pipelines, heavy construction and levees. SMs are responsible to oversee all participants by monitoring and providing guidance. This will include; performing checks and oversight at the active construction sites, prepare reports and maintain records concerning safety compliance with the City of Indianapolis Safety Approach and the terms of their contracts with regard to construction safety. SMs also assist the Construction Manager (PCM) with review of contractor and CM HASP and JHA submittals and delivery of safety orientation and awareness training.
20+ years of experience in construction safety in supervisory/management capacity
Heavy water infrastructure construction and/or tunnel/underground/pipeline experience.
OSHA 30 hr + or comparable safety credentials
Bachelor Engineering, Construction, Geology, Environmental or CIH or CSP or similar
