DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the continuous improvement of the safety of our work environment.
Supervises and manages the Maintenance Department.
Manages all of the plants maintenance programs.
Lead the plant maintenance budgeting and execution process.
Lead the plant capital planning and execution process.
Responsible for cost justification, compiling specifications and overseeing installation of new equipment.
Keep senior management informed on all key metrics and budgetary progress throughout each month.
Active participant in the plant’s SQF, HACCP, Food Security, and Food Safety Teams.
Involvement in MFI organizational teams and committees.
Encourages employee involvement in every aspect of running the operation.
Recognizes and resolves operating problems in order to minimize their impact on the operation.
Maintains and improves upon record keeping, ensuring information is current, correct and complete.
Enforces company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Business Management or Engineering, at least 5 years maintenance management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Communication and interpersonal relations as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisors, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Ability to manage and update computerized maintenance management systems.
Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, preventative maintenance, plant operations, government environmental and safety regulations.
Able to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner.
Be able to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve.
