Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Project Controls Analyst located in Houston, Texas through February 15, 2013.

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Develop the WBS, CBS, OBS with other prject team members.
  • Work with Finance to ensure established accounting processes, systems, and procedures are followed.
  • Implement and manage project controls processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Administer Cost Engineering impacted management of change, including budget transfers and contingency drawdown.
  • Generate integrated project progress, performance, & forecast reports.
  • Work with other project team members to identify and resolve CE issues.
  • Work with Project Contracting and Cost Estimating & Budgeting to estimate changes and claims

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or Business related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in project controls for upstream and/or downstream oil and gas projects.
  • Ability to use and maintain comprehensive cost management systems to enhance cost reporting methods and to generate and analyze reports on a regular basis.
  • Prior experience on a multi-functional project team on a small to medium upstream oil and gas capital project, and ability to interact with budget owners, contract admin, and contractors, to understand project scope.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years experience in project controls for upstream and/or downstream oil and gas projects.

    Expatriate assignments will be considered.
