Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements: The Logistician II position duties and responsibilities include the following specific functions, in addition to the entire spectrum of requirements as referenced in the SOW:
  • Provide contract management and other post award assistance. The range of potential post award actions includes expedite request, internal request for status, drafting the following documents: Extensions, Stop Work Requests, Protests, Price Change Requests, Technical Assistance Requests, diversion modifications, First Article Test (FAT) verifications, discrepancy resolution (QN), terminations for convenience modifications and other post award functions as needed.
  • Perform complex post award actions on high priority Purchase Requests, Delivery Orders and Contracts including but not limited to coordinating contract actions with the weapons system cell (buyer, inventory manager and technical/quality representative) as appropriate.
    • The Logistician II must be fully knowledgeable with the Microsoft Offices Suite and several Government data systems such as the DLA Post-Award Contracting System (DPACS) and the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS). Cherokee and the Government will provide additional Government specific training as required for implementation of new systems or requirements.
    • The Logistician II shall provide the required services through performance at the DSCC site. The Logistician II may also on occasion be asked to provide services at a separate corporate location and other government facilities.

    Minimum qualification: ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­
    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or similar word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail systems.
    • Must be able to obtain and retain the appropriate government security clearance.
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to carry out complex written instructions and to make analytical decisions when administering various contract actions.
    • Must be able to exhibit discretion and exercise independent judgment in the execution of work assignments.
    Minimum Education and Experience:
    • GSA: HS or equivalent; Must have at least four years of experience of which two must be specialized. A BA/BS degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
    • BPA: BS preferred; Three years of experience in logistics disciplines.
