THE SCHOOL OF THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO is seeking a candidate who will work in close association with the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs/Dean of Faculty and the Deans of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies to oversee the instructional program on a semester basis. Will also oversee the development of the official Semester Course Schedule and the number of courses, course capacity and course enrollments offered by each department for the Fall, Winter Interim and Spring Semester.

Assist the Vice Provost to develop and monitor annual instructional operating budgets. Work closely with the Vice Provost and Executive Director/Associate VP of Facilities, Operations and Capital Asset Planning, and the Associate Dean of Technology Planning to prioritize and advise the Deans and COO on space allocation and capital asset planning for the academic program. Work with the Faculty Chairs to oversee instructional and academic administrative staff, including the development of job responsibilities, recommended grade levels and salaries for review by the Dean and the Vice President of Human Resources. Work together with the Director of Faculty Services on accreditation.

Develop with the Vice-President of Marketing and Enrollment the enrollment goals for all degree and certificate programs in consultation with the Deans and Program Heads, taking into consideration space availability and faculty FTE. In consultation with the Deans and appropriate faculty Chairs and Program Heads, oversee admission policies and portfolio standards.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE an MA or equivalent. At least five years of experience in academic administration and/or academic planning in the fields of art and design. Excellent supervisory and communication skills.
