In this role, you will:
Essential Responsibilities Develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals
Be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives
Have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Lead design and development efforts within a global team to achieve gasifier feed system and gas processing product development goals
Be responsible for driving design cycle through all stages of development and validation of the component
Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in an engineering position
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated product component engineering, design and development experience

Desired Characteristics Minimum of 5 years mechanical engineering experience focused on thermal and fluid systems and/or structural component design
Masters Degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering
Proficiency in boiler and pressure vessel codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
Industrial plant / gasification / IGCC experience
Strong technical problem solving skills with proficiency in analysis software (ANSYS, matlab, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
