Programs and Operations - Web Project Manager Role

The Programs and Operations Team resides within Oracle Brand Marketing. We are responsible for providing the resources, knowledge, and best practices to manage all aspects of Oracle.com and related projects to a successful conclusion. Together we define requirements, assemble project teams, and execute on business requirements from project approval and funding to completion.

The Web Project Manager on the Programs and Operations team is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in budget. The person in this role will be able to handle multiple large-scale projects at a time and understand how to prioritize competing tasks. Knowing how to ‘flex your style’ for the good of the project is desired. Working together with your business stakeholder you will drive increased project throughput via operational project excellence.

As a member of the marketing organization, research and analyze the markets and competition to identify business opportunities for Oracle, the world*s largest enterprise software company. As a key contributor to the worldwide marketing team, your research will help to drive delivery of Oracle*s message to the marketplace, contributing to effectiveness and business results.

Initiate research and analysis of current and future markets, products and services identifying business opportunities that support the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Meet business targets and best practice solutions through the use of professional concepts, company policies/procedure and creativity. Disseminate key corporate information to the geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Act as a liaison with managing directors to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Assist management with directing marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the geography. Ensure consistency between global directions and single-geography implementation choices. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a geographical basis as needed. Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years relevant work experience. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. Knowledge of budget, approval processes and resource allocations. E-business + Internet practical know-how. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.
