Inventory Control Coordinator - Edmonds
This is a regular, hourly, 8 hour, day shift position, 1.0 FTE, 80 hours bi-weekly. This position is eligible for our full suite of employee benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage, generous 401 (k) plan, commuter programs, and continuing education assistance.
Scale begins at $20.35 per hour. Placement within the scale is dependent upon years of work experience.
Premiums: Evening - $1.10/hr, Night - $1.75/hr, Weekend - $1.00/hr
Based in the campus this position supports. Accountable for managing inventories for the assigned campus or campuses through daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycle counts, annual physical counts, requisitioning replenishments, seeking alternative sources and materials when necessary, maintaining communication with customers, monitoring usage, and removing and disposing of obsolete or outdated products. Organizes and leads Material Distribution/Supply Chain staff in conducting inventory counts, adjusts quantities and locations, when necessary, and records and reports discrepancies to management. Accountable for the implementation of the OSCM (One Supply Chain Management) operations and logistics strategy at the local campus under the direction of the Manager.
Responsible for working with key stakeholders within their location as well as their supply chain peers to include participating in and partnering with others on OSCM Operations and Logistics operational improvement efforts and programs ensuring a compliant, effective, and streamlined operational OSCM experience at the local campus.
Under the direction of the Manager, the position is responsible for the management of perpetual and par inventories as well as specific periodic inventories, supplies received, stored, and issued at Swedish campuses within their respective site as directed. In many instances, the position will serve in clinical areas (OR, Cath Lab, etc.), ensuring inventory control policies and procedures are properly implemented while working closely with clinical staff to provide excellent patient care.
May lead work as directed by management.
A high school diploma is required. An Associate’s degree or higher in Healthcare, Business, Finance or Logistics/Supply Chain Management or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is preferred. Medical Terminology is preferred as is training in anatomy & physiology.
Certification either as a Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) from the American Hospital Association or a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) from the Society of Logistics Engineers or similar certification is preferred.
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of Supply Chain Management or Finance experience. One year in a healthcare setting highly preferred. Key experience highlights include: healthcare business operations and/or financial management experience in a healthcare setting; experience standardizing disparate processes; experience in process improvement methodology, change management, project management, operational improvement; experience managing automated POU systems.
Demonstrated excellent written and oral skills. Experience in computers and computer related functions including experience in inventory software program. Possess excellent personnel management, problem solving and conflict resolution. Skills in using Lawson materials management software preferred. Demonstrated ability to use software programs (Word, Excel, Email, etc.) preferred. Skills applied in a healthcare organization preferred.
