A post-doctoral position is available in a vascular biology research laboratory. Ongoing projects include investigation of novel mechanotransduction signaling pathways Notch and Hedgehog, and the molecular mechanisms underpinning the immunological and cardiovascular protective effects of Alcohol consumption. The laboratory, within the Department of Surgery Translational Research Division, is supported by excellent core facilities in cell and molecular biology. Candidate should have recently earned a PhD, or MD/PhD degree(s) and have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology.

Experience with mouse models of vascular disease/remodeling would be a bonus. Personal initiative, enthusiasm and a sense of humor are highly desirable.
