Description: Under the direction of the Vice President Community Impact, the Community Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting United Way of Greater Mercer County's (UWGMC) community impact agenda.

Reports to: Vice-President Community Impact

  • Intake of new clients
  • Coordination of referrals to partners
  • Represent United Way of Greater Mercer County at and participate in community health events
  • Coordinate logistics for health events; distribute materials
  • Become a certified peer trainer in chronic health partnerships
  • Become a community trainer to implement several key health grants
  • Data entry of client data into proprietary software
  • Prepare reports as needed to support agency and funder needs
  • Maintain client database
  • Other tasks as assigned to fulfill United Way of Greater Mercer County's mission

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in the social science field. Candidate needs to have an understanding and commitment to the mission of United Way.

  • Schedule flexibility to attend, represent and participate at organization and community occasions held on nights or weekends as needed
  • Proficiency with MS Office/Windows environment including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Strong presentation skills, organized, self-directed self-starter
  • Ability to work and contribute as part of team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to form and to nurture effective working relationships and to work through ambiguity
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
