Ecommerce Buyer/Planner - Salary up to 125k
The Ecommerce Buyer would work closely with all partners in the retail team, reporting to the Vice President of Ecommerce . Working closely with the retail buying team, the ecommerce buyer will be responsible for composing buys that reflect the in store selection, tailored to the ecommerce customer.
Working very closely with the buying, planning and merchandising teams to ensure cohesive, branded buys for the site.
Buying between Collection, commercial line and licensees
Planning and strategic thinking to ensure we're maximizing online sales across all product categories, ensuring the buys are set up to accommodate demand from the first delivery
Identifying preorder opportunities and executing the pre-sell and fulfillment
Help identifying appropriate products for online exclusives and limited edition to feature on the site. Working with production on execution and delivery
Analytics, working closely with the ecommerce manager to track site traffic, conversion, etc to uncover areas of opportunity
Responsible for ecommerce inventory management and forecasting. Communicate regularly with the retail planner.
Responsible for compiling product information to be handed off to the copy writer, including all technical features, materials and care instructions for all items included in the seasonal buy.
Ensuring the merchandising on the site is as close to the stores as possible and the ecom selection is cohesive with the stores selection while still meeting our sales needs.
Working with coordinator to merchandise all categories on the site.
Planning product flow, on time delivery and receipt of goods to keep in line with the stores merchandise stories as well as the sites needs
Over all being the gatekeeper to the buying and product dept to ecommerce
Excellent technical skills; word, excel and merchant systems
Manage order set up and see through to product delivery
Ability to run weekly reports and business analysis
Team player who is comfortable working between multiple brands
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, who is able to communicate initiatives between departments
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Minimum of 4-5 years buying experience
Strong understanding of the John Varvatos customer and ecommerce environment
