Konica Minolta Business Solutions , a leader in advanced imaging & networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, is seeking a Sales Intern to learn about our business & support the efforts of the assigned Sales Team.

Our program will teach students about the dynamic & financially rewarding world of Business-to-Business Professional Sales from the ground up. The selected intern will be exposed to various sales research tools & methodologies as well as participate in branch marketing events & initiatives. It is expected that the individual selected for this role have a career interest in Professional Business-to Business Sales. Ultimately, a successful intern should be able to apply the practical, “real world” knowledge gained through this program into a possible future career in Sales &/or Marketing.

During the course of this Internship, it is expected that the Intern will be exposed to various marketing tools & methodologies used in Outside Sales. They will assist various Sales Professionals at various stages of the Sales Cycle & provide administrative support to that effect.

Specific Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Customer & Territory Research (vertical, geographic, etc…) using various web tools & internal systems
  • Coordination of Customer Satisfaction Calls & / or surveys
  • Assist with the planning, marketing & execution of at least one on-site “Powerhouse” / Open House at the Branch Location
  • Work closely with assigned Sales Professionals to ensure that they are prepared for customer meetings (spec sheets, proposals, etc…)
  • Assist with sending thank you letters &/or gifts to prospective / new customers
  • Completion of Sales Training courses as assigned (score of 80% or Higher)
  • Learn to research, collect & disseminate useable data related to target UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) Filings
  • Occasional Cold Calls & Customer Visits with Experienced Sales Professionals
  • Progress / Evaluation Reports to be conducted every 2 weeks during “wrap sessions” with Branch Manager &/or Market Vice President.
  • Other Sales Support related duties as assigned

    Qualifications:
  • Must be in Junior or Senior Year of 4 year College/University
  • Business / Marketing / Sales Majors preferred
  • Some previous work experience (PT, Internships, volunteer, etc…)
  • Outgoing personality
  • Great attitude & work ethic
  • Professional demeanour & appearance
  • Fluent English speaker with strong communication skills (oral & written)
  • Desire to learn & pursue a career in Professional Outside Sales
  • Strong working knowledge of Word & Excel (i.e. letters, spreadsheets, databases, etc…); Working knowledge of PowerPoint is a plus
  • Intern must comply with / abide by all KMBS policies & procedures as it pertains to the workplace
  • Must maintain Confidentiality (will be required to sign confidentiality / non-disclosure agreement related to strategic or competitive business information obtained at KMBS)
  • Access to dependable transportation to assigned location(s)
