The Women's Studies Program invites applications for a Faculty-in-Residence to begin August 2013. This is a full-time, 9-month position. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in both Women's Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies; working with students; and participating in appropriate service in the department. Women's Studies is a dynamic program, offering a major and minor, and is part of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program at UNLV. Qualifications include an earned doctorate in Women's or Gender Studies or other discipline or interdisciplinary field from a regionally accredited university, in hand by August 15, 2013; teaching experience; experience in Women's and Gender Studies; experience with and commitment to a diverse student population. Areas of specialization are open, although we seek a scholar with proficiencies in one or more of the following areas: feminist research methods; social analyses of gender, race, class and sexuality; gender and social justice.

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
