ROLE of the POSITION
The Women's Studies Program invites applications for a Faculty-in-Residence to begin
August 2013. This is a full-time, 9-month position. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in both Women's Studies
and Interdisciplinary Studies; working with students; and participating in appropriate service in the department. Women's Studies is a
dynamic program, offering a major and minor, and is part of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program at UNLV. For more information, view our

Qualifications include an earned doctorate in Women's or
Gender Studies or other discipline or interdisciplinary field from a regionally accredited university, in hand by August 15, 2013; teaching
experience; experience in Women's and Gender Studies; experience with and commitment to a diverse student population. Areas of
specialization are open, although we seek a scholar with proficiencies in one or more of the following areas: feminist research methods;
social analyses of gender, race, class and sexuality; gender and social justice.
Salary competitive with those at
similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
