Now we’re looking to weave emerging businesses into our customer interactions wherever we can improve our customers’ experience.
We are looking for an experienced contributor to join us as a summer MBA intern, to work at the “fuzzy front-end” to help define the future of Bose’s Emerging Businesses Division. If you would thrive on creating compelling data-informed arguments to drive us towards emerging technologies, new markets and greater innovation, this could be the right job for you.
You have an affinity for gadgets and technology, and would enjoy the opportunity to evaluate an emerging technology or market force that could impact our product strategy. Your abundant self-motivation, creativity, intellectual curiosity, capacity to juggle conflicting priorities, and ability to see clearly in the midst of uncertainty will be your best allies.
Your ultimate responsibility will be to advise and assist the Emerging Businesses Team.You will become the expert on this new technology or market force and write a compelling whitepaper as output -- what should we do, when should we do it, and how will we know when to change the plan. You are able to ply a combination of market data, consumer data, in-depth analysis and synthesis, and your own good instincts to make solid recommendations to stakeholders. Your work will influence category strategy and product features. Time permitting, you might also get to participate in driving new product ideas, bolstering our competitive knowledge base, or performing other business analysis and insight projects for which your unique talents might qualify you.
In the past, you may have had experience in product management, strategy, consulting, market research, engineering, or software development. Ideally, you will have had experience in several of those disciplines. At Bose you will work most closely with product marketing, engineering, research, and consumer research. From time to time, you also may support or lead new-product business development initiatives, where you will work closely with outside companies.

Candidates who will be considered for this position will have or be:
• Highly polished writing ability, strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Extremely strong critical thinking skills for framing, analyzing, and synthesizing complex problems (market trends, technology trends, business disruptions, etc.)
• Confidence, presence, and credibility to command the respect of colleagues and senior stakeholders, especially within Marketing, Engineering, and Research.
• Most candidates will have 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in new product management or mobile app development is a plus.
• An affinity for emerging technology, market trends, and new gadgets.
• "Information junkie" that thrives on being the first to know about new technology.
