SOFT's client in Northbourgh, MA is seeking a Sr. IT Network Support Analyst for a long term contract role.
This position is responsible for various application systems, telecommunications, facility and cyber security assets utilized by the CNI and network systems that support the Energy Management (EMS) and Outage Management (OMS) systems used by Power System Control Centers. Perform as an IT technical support resource that handles the resolution of technical IT and facility issues and escalates as necessary to appropriate levels of support such as vendors and senior technical staff.
Job duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Participate in CISCO System network configuration and problem diagnosis Port level interconnection and transport architecture Network Performance management and control Integration and acceptance testing (development of Acceptance Criterion) Understand detail telecommunications engineering, facility designs and diagrams Network security and network appliance devices
Server architecture, deployment, and maintenance Operating system configuration and performance management Maintenance of Windows Active Directory, LDAP, Domain Name Service (DNS)
Configuration control Storage Array Network (SAN) System backup and recovery
Application Systems & – technical architecture support
UDW architecture and maintain reliable operations of database applications Real time control system application control, integration, and administration Middleware technical support Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) control and release management, and participates in functional testing
Support for all power and cooling load requirements Premise security technology Cabling trays and Plenum design Fire suppression control system
Excellent technical and communications (writing and verbal) skills Proficiency in Cisco System network trouble shooting Proficient in Network security trouble shooting Proficient in CheckPoint Firewall configuration and trouble shooting Proficient in Windows Server and Active Directory Services administration Unix derivative system administration Proficient in disaster recovery and business continuity planning activities Able to pass NERC CIP required background check and Department of Homeland Security CIS work permit requirements
