Maintenance Team Leader

Job Purpose Statement:
Reporting to the Supervisor Facilities Maintenance, the Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership to the production engineering technicians in order to ensure the reliability of production equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:
' Assist in the developing the technical support systems to deliver FWOC KPI's. This includes but isn't limited to coordinating the activities of Maintenance Technicians daily based upon production schedules.

' Assist in planning and executing the maintenance activities to ensure a reliable operation ('zero breakdown mindset')

' Co-ordinate the maintenance work on assigned items for the plant production equipment and support equipment using both inside and outside resources

' Leads and facilitates expert problem solving throughout the plant to enhance the troubleshooting skills and performance of the FWOC engineering group.

' Support driver of plant efficiency and product line up time.

' Assists in the development of the Engineering Department as required.

' Assist in some project management activity relative to the engineering department.

' Reviews work orders and preventative maintenance needs, taking into account such factors as priority, production schedules and material and parts availability.

' Assigns Maintenance Technicians in response to requests from production, recognizing the areas requiring immediate response to prevent downtime.

Position Requirements:
' Minimum of three (3) years 'hands on' mechanical and electrical experiences in the areas of production line maintenance.

' Strong knowledge on VFD, PLC, electrical circuit, and mechanical system skills a must.

' Familiar with PLC-s, process instrumentation, and process drawings

' Good working knowledge with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

' Experienced in writing Standard Operating Procedures for equipment.

' Strong industrial electrical background including knowledge of 480, 240, 120, and low voltage control systems.

' Excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills

' Ability to effectively participate in problem solving meetings

' Passionate about safety in equipment design, condition, and work practices

' Strong communication skills

' Strong coaching and training skills

' Flexible/adaptable to changes in the business environment

' Proactive in seeking opportunities for improvement

' Self-directed, high energy level

' Able to work collaboratively across functional boundaries

' Must assist and/or run department hand offs; at least ¿ hour before and after assigned shift

' PC proficiency as well as excellent organizational and communication skills are a must.

' Ability to develop a strong maintenance team in a high performing environment.

' Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills

' CMMS / work order experience ' Preferably Experience with MP2
