Client & Trading Solutions QA is a centralized technology quality assurance/testing group
which provides support for multiple applications and technology groups. CTS QA is responsible for test estimates, test strategies, test plans and scripts, functional and regression testing for numerous mainframe and distributed applications. These diverse
applications support back office broker/dealer functions such as Equity and OptionTrading, Customer Account Technology, Client Reporting, Tax, Fixed Income Trading and many more.
Brief Description of Role:
This is a QA lead role, with accountability for project and release based testing efforts across multiple applications (including End to End Test efforts). The person in this role will participate in program level, project level and technical governance and negotiate overall product quality standards with development and business teams. They will acts as the escalation point for all testing related issues, provide the QA perspective, status reporting and escalate issues to responsible managers. A major responsibility is to coordinate with other QA team leads on testing activities, participate in Design Review, Requirements
Ambiguity, & Use Case Reviews, develop test automation test suite (using QTP), review test automation and conduct QA analysis & test support Activities. They will also be accountable for metrics, directing reviews and acceptance of QA work products such as ambiguity review, and ensure standard and consistent QA processes are followed.
MS/BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent discipline 8+ years’ experience in system development life cycle related to Software QA testing of mainframe or distributed applications. 4+ years’ experience as a leader in a large, complex QA organization, with a demonstrated ability in leading a risk-based approach to software testing. Solid
understanding of core QA fundamental and release management concepts. Proven ability of working and leading multiple projects and releases, balancing time and effort for successful delivery Experience in defining, tracking and reporting software testing metrics Excellent organizational, problem solving, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and
written communications skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across many levels within the technical and business organizations Proven ability to form effective partnerships across large complex organizations and across both business and technical functions Must have good interpersonal skills; able to establish, build and
maintain relationships with staff and external vendors Experience working with resources in different geographical locations and offshore vendors A candidate who has initiative is highly desirable.Experience with RUP process and /or Agile Development practice, Clarity time-tracking, managing budgets, ClearQuest/TFS Defect Tracker and QualityCenter are highly desirable.
