The Payment Processor position is responsible for generating, processing and recording debtor payments accurately in a timely and efficient manner.

Payment Processing *
  • Posting payments received in the mail and direct payments received by client into the CRS collection software. *
  • Verification of funds availability based on dollar amounts *
  • Identify debtor account status and code payment appropriately
Mail Processing *
  • Open and distribute debtor payments and correspondence accordingly *
  • Identify and return via postal service, debtor payments that are no longer placed at Pioneer Credit Recovery, Inc. *
  • Generate letter to Massachusetts debtor and return any post dated payments back to the debtor
Batch Reconciliation *
  • Reconciling and balancing cash journals to bank deposits *
  • Generate client checks, review for accuracy and balance to check register *
  • Daily scan for post dated checks in collection software to generate "H" letters for posted dated checks entered beyond 10 days *
  • Maintain daily log of returned checks and supplying copies of the check to the Collection Managers, Directors, and Accounting Department
Daily Banking *
  • Ensure each debtor and client check are endorsed with the appropriate endorsements *
  • Deliver deposits to the financial institution when needed

MUST HAVES: *
  • 6 months experience in a Clerical/Administrative environment or equivalent. *
  • Knowledge of computers and Excel spreadsheets. *
  • Must have strong numeric data entry and math skills.
OTHER HELPFUL EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: *
  • Customer Service skills. *
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES - *
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment *
  • Must be team oriented in accomplishing department goals. *
  • Must have organizational and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines. *
  • Must be detail oriented.
