Under the direction of a Registered Nurse provides care and treatment to patients in the department and performs Unit Secretary duties.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Graduate of EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant program
Minimum Work Experience: None
Required License/Certification: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
Certification as a Nursing Asistant required,
if not Certified as Nursing Assistant must be enrolled in
accredited Nursing program
Required Skills: Able to 50 pounds unassisted
Medical terminology
Safely care for assigned patients
Excellent verbal communication in person and on telephone
Excellent written communication
Read, write, understand and communicate clearly in English
Use a computer for clinical data entry/retrieval
Organize and prioritize work, act independently
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Work collaboratively with others in a complex healthcare setting
Partner with physicians
Excellent internal and external customer service
