The Accenture Cloud Platform (ACP) is a cloud broker and orchestration engine that enables the consumption of Infrastructure-as-a-Service resources (compute, storage, network) from multiple providers. Beyond basic resource provisioning, the platform also enables the construction of higher-order services that consist of collections of VMs, networks, and storage that work as deployable units for multiple tenants. Examples include Testing tools as a Service (TaaS), Hadoop-based Big Data Platform, and Cloud-Foundry-based aPaaS.

The IaaS Systems Administrator will work to establish, maintain, deploy, and otherwise care for the virtual infrastructure required by the ACP project teams. The role involves the deployment of VM templates and installation of third party software to those VMs. The System Admin will also be responsible for working with project teams through the development life cycle to build development, staging, and production environments. Responsibilities include administration of the IaaS environment as well as managing user access to servers and virtual private networks. Additionally, the system admin will be responsible for managing virtual resources and perform right sizing activities for VMs. Optimization of virtual machine performance is a key responsibility as well. And lastly the System Admin will create and update VM templates.


Basic Qualifications:
5+ years installing, configuring, and supporting Linux systems (Redhat or Ubuntu)

5+ years installing, configuring, and supporting Windows server systems

3+ years installing, configuring, and supporting Apache Tomcat web services

1+ years using vSphere/vCenter and/or vCloud Director

1+ years using cloud based services (Amazon, Terremark, etc)

1+ years experience with Access or other database

Preferred Skills:
Experience working with Data Center technologies (DNS, TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, load balancing, etc)

Optimizing server performance (analysis of server logs, creation of performance counters, and right siizing)

Experience troubleshooting Unix and Windows server issues

Experience Creating/deploying virtual machines and virtual machine templates

Experince in executing shell scripts

CMDB creation and maintenance

IaaS Cloud technologies: Virtualization, AWS EC2, VMware vSphere/vCenter and/or vCloud Director

Working knowledge of Chef technologies (recipies and cookbooks)

Experience in deploying applications through a development life cycle

Ability to work effectively in a distributed, international environment

Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

Additional Requirements:
During release windows or to support collaboration with international colleagues, early or late work may be required.
