This contingent RN position will work through the Nursing Resource Pool, floating to various inpatient nursing units. Areas of specialty include medical, surgical, progressive care, and critical care. Flexible scheduling options available.
The Clinical Nurse utilizes the nursing process with depth and understanding. Develops and implements plan of care for patient's based on scientific research rationale. Communicates patient outcomes & changes to multidisciplinary team members. Delegates assignments/tasks with appropriate follow-up. Contributes to achievement of unit objectives. Develops teaching strategies for patient/family. Serves as mentor/resource for members of health care team. Maintains current knowledge in area of clinical practice.
Requirements include: graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current Michigan RN license, AHA BLS, and at least 2 years of recent hospital inpatient RN experience in area of specialty--medical, surgical, progressive care, or critical care.
Must be able to work at least one Saturday, one Sunday, and one other d
ay per a 4 week schedule.
