Senior Systems Engineer/SOA
Kansas City, MO
The Senior Systems Engineer/SOA position will work closely with all levels of MIS to deploy and support UMB infrastructure and application stack. This will require coordination with multiple technical parties including application development, systems, network, and security administrators. This position will help triage and coordinate troubleshooting of application issues in development and production and will identify opportunities to improve availability, reliability, and performance of application infrastructure. This role will also provide technical leadership within team and on project teams, document work and contribute to work center practice and policy development. Other duties as assigned.
What youll need:
Bachelors degree is preferred. 5 years experience in a technical role supporting n-Tier application infrastructure is required. Advanced knowledge of WebServer (IIS/Apache) & AppServer (WebSphere/Weblogic) technologies required. Advanced knowledge of Internet fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, HTTP) are required. Advanced UNIX and Windows administration skills are required. Advanced knowledge of SUSE, Solaris, and/or AIX preferred. Experience with IBM SOA Suite WESB, Data Power, WSRR, Process Server, BPM, BAM is a plus. Successful candidates must have strong leadership skills, customer service skills and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.
