Windows Systems Engineer focused on managing and scaling a large set of systems in Multi Data Center environment. Candidate will install, configure, and maintain multiple servers and supporting applications for a Publishing and Web System. Candidate will install Microsoft Operating systems, new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve hardware and software related problems. Candidate will create and manage highly scalable environments using clustering, virtual server technologies and system documentation for production, QA, and development environments. Candidate will configure and maintain Firewall, Switches and Routers. Candidate will also perform system backups and recovery, maintain data files, and monitor systems and configurations to ensure data integrity. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures and must demonstrate strong technical leadership skills. Candidate will work under general supervision from Project Managers, and direct Managers. Team member on the 24/7 systems support team
Candidate must have 6+ years in an Information Technology environment administering multiple systems in multiple data centers
In-Depth working knowledge of Windows scripting, especially Windows PowerShell
Expert knowledge and working experience with Windows 2003/2008 operating systems, Clustering, Active Directories in multiples forests, DNS and DHCP.
Working experience with Linux Red Hat Enterprise is preferred.
In-Depth Working knowledge of Web Technologies and protocols including IIS, Apache, ASP, PHP, TELNET, FTP, SSL, and SSH.
In-Depth Working knowledge installing, configuring, and Managing Citrix XenApp, Remote Services farm, Active Directory with multiple sites, Roaming Profiles and Group Policy Management.
In-Depth working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2003.
Experience with Google Apps, Google APIs, SSO, GADS, GAL sync and data migration tools.
Extensive knowledge of Networking and Load Balancing (A10 experience is preferred)
Working knowledge of WSUS and Monitoring systems like Nagios, OpManager, Netflow Analyzer, etc.
Basic MSSQL database administration and configuration skills
Experience with SAN/NAS installations and concepts such as Snapshot and Replay (Compellent experience is preferred)
Experience managing firewalls, IDP/IPS and or other perimeter security devices
Extensive knowledge of Antivirus software like SEP 12 and TrendMicro.
Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills required
Must be a self-starter, require minimal supervision, and maintain a positive attitude
Previous experience in an Internet/software development related environment is a plus
Microsoft, Cisco, Red Hat and other Certifications are preferred.
