The Armor Group, Inc. is currently seeking an Installation/ Rebuild Manager to join our growing team. The Installation/Rebuild Manager is a Senior Aftermarket Manager position that requires strong project management skills and follow through from start to finish. Position requirements are to budget, hire, mentor crew, and meet forecast objectives. Pre-Order responsibilities include seeking out new installation construction opportunities, site review, establishing scope of work, and providing cost analysis information for each project to Armor Metal Group Estimators for quote preparation. Post-Order responsibilities include project management, establishing project schedules, identification of crew and equipment required, communication with the customer, and keeping projects on schedule. Job-Site responsibilities include interfacing with customer, directing crew and contractor activities, and keeping project on schedule. Post-Job responsibilities include review of project to budget, post mortem analysis to initiate any required Aftermarket, Engineering, or Quality corrective actions.

If selected for this role, your responsibilities would include: · Seek out and identify installation and construction opportunities for rebuild projects on Armor Metal Group Alvey and CIM product brands. Visit customer locations and conduct in-depth field audits to qualify opportunities. Plan and coordinate to sales forecasts. Identify all obstructions and site conditions that would hinder or restrict efficient field rebuild. Provide estimators with all information gathered to create quotations with greater than or equal to 25% margin.
· Manages customer communication before, during, and after project to insure project matches scope of work and customer expectation.
· Pre and post physical inspection of installation sites.
· Pre-qualify and contract all required sub-contractors to meet scope of work and schedule.
· Identify and secure all tools, equipment, and materials required to complete job in most cost effective manner including timely return of rented equipment.
· Pre-identify and work in harmony with all local codes, restrictions, and labor unions.
· Perform Project Manager duties for field portion of installations and rebuild projects. Kick off meetings, schedule management, etc.
· Monitor the progress of the installation activities and conduct regular daily status meetings with all crew members and sub-contractors. Communicates clearly to clear objectives and timeline.
· Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
· Obtain customer signed acceptance ant successful completion of all ne installations and field rebuilds.
· Develop standard generic rebuild scope of work for each Armor Metal Group brand of equipment. Develop verbiage to provide to Marketing to develop rebuild promotions.
Key requirements for consideration include: · Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· 4+ years hands on experience working with manufacturing capital equipment
· 2+ years experience managing a manufacturing or service crew
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
· Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks thoroughly
· Ability to plan and organize a team effort
· Ability to recognize potential problems and initiate corrective action
· Above average manufacturing and operational understanding
· Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of the teams
· Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
· Excellent communication & organizational skills.
· Good understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) building systems.
· Heavy experience in managing projects to schedule and budget
· High understanding of mechanical equipment both disassembly and assembly
· International travel is a requirement. To accommodate this Installation Manager must have a clean driving record and valid driving license. Installation Manager must be credit worthy and able to secure hotel accommodation and rental cars as necessary.
· Is proactive and exhibits Initiative
· Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret mechanical drawings/ experience with following electrical schematics
· Prior project management and hands on field installation experienced as well prior experience as a crew supervisor
· Proficient at initiating and compiling departmental metrics and data
· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Strong leadership, team building and management skills
· Thorough knowledge of safety standards is essential
· Willingness to travel extensively to the project sites
