Live Gamer is looking for an energetic and organized candidate to fill a long-term contract opportunity for a Senior Software Technology Lead in our New York office. In this position, you’ll work as a key member of our Engineering team to design, code and test a groundbreaking product for our client – a premier global financial institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development of a SOA / WebServices platform that integrates with 3rd party financial and gaming systems.
Be a core contributor to the development and implementation of a robust platform for a premier global financial institution.
Participate in architecture planning and review meetings with our VP of Technology and Product Manager.
Lead technical discussions and implementation meetings with in-house and 3rd party developers.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
7+ years developing and coding web applications, with a strong focus on web based APIs.
Excellent coding and OOP design skills.
Demonstrated coding experience in two, or more, of the following: Java, C/C++, Ruby, Python, PHP, Javascript, AJAX.
5+ years developing web applications with industry app server platforms and frameworks: J2EE, JBoss, Spring, Tomcat, .NET, Rails.
5+ years developing web apis: ReST, Soap, XMLRPC.
Demonstrated experience with messaging protocols and systems (JMS, AMQP, XMPP, MSMQ, WebSphere MQ, RabbitMQ, SwiftMQ).
Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) database systems. NoSQL experience helpful.
Scaling and security experience with Cloud based and Virtualization infrastructures.
Working knowledge of user, content and site security.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity working in lean / Agile development processes.
Understanding of and demonstrated experience in the full software development lifecycle, including functional and technical specifications, implementation, QA, deployment and maintenance.
In –depth understanding of services-based software design as it relates to: scaling, security, 3rd party integration, API exposure.
Ability to work daily in our New York City office.
COMPENSATION:
This is a full-time contract position compensated at hourly rate.
