We are searching for an energetic Sales Representative in our AMG microscopy business with life sciences experience ready to perform product demonstrations and sales support. Successful candidate will work for a Regional Sales Manager and interface with our North American Channel Partner, within Maryland, Washington DC and Delaware, concentrating at the NIH. This role balances prospecting for new opportunities, demonstrating scientific imaging equipment, product training and participation in local scientific shows and events.
Prospect for new business within the territory.
Actively drive the sales cycle from end to end.
Involves working closely with the customer, distributors, institutional administration, procurement, etc.
Support sales opportunities, identified by distribution reps, throughout the sales cycle.
Includes activities such as providing information on product capabilities and technical specifications Manage and perform scientific imaging instrumentation product demonstrations to prospective end users.
Assist distribution reps, Application Specialists and end users with questions regarding our product line.
Perform product installations and end user training
Attend and participate in sales meetings, seminars and trade shows
Perform updates to SalesForce (contact management software)
Bachelor's Degree in life sciences or microscopy knowledge 2+ years of sales experience in life science industry is highly preferred.
Previous capital equipment sales is a plus
Able to travel up to 30%
Able to lift up to 50 pounds (to set up some of the demos) Ability to work independently – self starter with drive and focus
Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
Ability to learn and apply new technologies
This sales position will be home based and requires the individual to be centrally located within Maryland.
No relocation is available for this position.
This position will have a base salary and commission plan with quota.
