The Project Analyst/Controller will take direction from the Team Lead to provide overall project scheduling and analysis to ensure success at every milestone of the project as well as the overall success of any given project. The Project Analyst/Controller will provide in-depth project scheduling to include the development of new project schedules, the accurate and timely maintenance of active project schedules, the maintenance of project files within an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and supporting data/info repositories (e.g. Product Manager Power Projection Enabler (PdM P2E) Project Lead and Project Workspaces), project status reporting, and cost/earned value management as required. The Project Analyst/Controller will leverage all available tools and data to provide schedule and project data stewardship. The Project Analyst/Controller will assist in preparing briefings and ocher documentation as appropriate and will ensure successful] communications above, below and across the organization. The Project Analyst/Controller will represent PdM P2E Project teams and stakeholders in meetings, conferences, conference calls, etc. in keeping with the values, mission and vision of the organization.
The Project Analyst/Controller will work with his/her Team Lead and appropriate project stakeholders to ensure that necessary meetings are scheduled on a periodic basis to ensure that he/she is well-informed of all tracked project activities and/or changes that impact the overall success of assigned projects. The Project Analyst/Controller will actively participate in applicable meetings in order to receive all necessary inputs/information Lo ensure their ability to provide the Team Lead, APM, or other project stakeholders with accurate and timely project status/analysis.
The Project Analyst/Controller vi1l support PdM P2E policies, procedures, and processes and comply with all established operational suspenses and deadlines that fall within their scope of responsibility or influence. The Project Analyst/Controller will provide critical analysis of organizational procedures, documents, and proposed ideas in order to support the most efficient means to provide value-add service to PdM P2E.
Specific job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain project schedules for all assigned projects to include activity sequencing, (ask development, milestones definition, activity tracking. and task resourcing in accordance with established PdM P2E standards and guidelines
Assist in the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and WBS dictionary as required
Meet with the project team as required based on OPTEMPO to perform project status/tracking, manage open issues, and manage project risks
Assesses the impact of changes to schedule activities and schedule slippages
Prepare graphs. diagrams, and other exhibits/documentation to accurately illustrate project status
Access and analyzes historical data (such as performance) for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting
Support CONUS and OCONUS project stakeholders
Provide functional expertise and acts as a resource to the team on the application of tools, processes and practices related to area of responsibility
Support the accuracy and Timeliness of information on PdM P2E Knowledge Management (KM) systems — providing inputs and performing analytical review of system generated reports
Provide formal and informal training on the tools, processes and best practices appropriate for individuals or teams
Assist in risk analysis and management throughout the project lifecycle
Meet Team Lead and other project stakeholders weekly or more/less frequently based on OPTEMPO to provide overall project status, to include, project tracking, issues, and risk
Provide continuous communication with the Team Lead and other project stakeholders on all project scheduling areas related to or affecting project success
Develop accurate and useful documentation and/or reports to communicate with Team Lead(s), customers, and other project stakeholders
Conduct quality reviews of all deliverables associated with assigned projects
Support all project progress reviews (e.g. team-level status reviews. In-Progress Reviews (IPRs, Monthly Progress Reviews (MPRs), etc.) processes and briefings, preparing and reviewing materials
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing above, below and across the organization as needed to ensure project success
Develop meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and other related planning activities as required
Successfully complete all job related or required training/certifications
Provide backup support for other project controllers on the team
Other duties as assigned
