PLANNED PARENTHOOD MAR MONTE
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
provides direct medical management of Planned Parenthood patients in a community clinic setting and in a protocol based practice;
performs medical examinations on male, female and pediatric patients requesting services, providing assessment and treatment of primary care problems;
provides comprehensive reproductive health care, including prenatal/postnatal health care;
provides hospital care for PPMM patients when appropriate/required;
acts as medical supervisor and consultant to staff mid-level clinicians both on site and by telephone;
takes an active role in quality assurance and outcome analysis;
maintains telephone/pager availability for clinicians/center managers during clinic hours;
serves on after hours telephone call rotation for consultation with clinicians nights and weekends;
contributes to achieving health center productivity goals.
demonstrates PPMM customer service standards;
ensures correct coding for all services provided, to achieve established revenue cycle goals;
provides liaison with outside medical providers, healthcare agencies and the community.
Works with/supervises volunteers/interns as applicable;
Performs other duties as assigned.

CurrentStatemedical licensure and DEA certification;
Board Certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics ;
Experience in delivering prenatal care and pre/post abortion care;
Current (or willingness to obtain) active staff membership at one or more local hospitals;
Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification;
ValidStatedrivers license and willingness to drive to and work at widely dispersed PPMM clinics if required.
Ability to converse in Spanish desirable;
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift at least 25 pounds;
Current experience using computer and mouse.
Experience using a Microsoft Windows based program and willing to learn new computer skills.
Willingness and ability to learn new skills appropriate to PPMM clinical duties;
Strong customer service orientation.
Able to work cooperatively as a member of a health care delivery team;
