FT-Rotating Shifts-Decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, sterilization and storage of instruments, supplies, packs and equip. dispensed by the department, following established infection control guidelines. Able to comprehend and follow instructions, learn position duties and accept new ideas. Involved in medication management and exchange or medical equipment, carts, and procedure trays. Able to function as a +Service Specialty Leader+. Will conduct/ arrange at least 2 department in-services per year. Will demonstrate ability to problem solve department issues and will serve as charge person as needed. Will have at least one year experience in the field of sterile processing and will have completed all competencies for SPT Tech II. High School Diploma or equiv reqd. 1 yr exp in Sterile Processing reqd. Must successfully complete orientation and training within 6 months. Must show evidence of job specific competencies. Must show evidence of continuing education credits of 10 hours/year, 8 hours/year pref+d in Sterile Processing offerings. Effective May 20, 2011 a HS Diploma or GED is reqd. For employees assigned to the position prior to May 20, 2011, a HS Diploma or GED is prefd.

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
Rotating Shifts may be required.
