Covanta's Waste Solutions business team is now expanding and looking to hire a new Sales and Marketing Manager (Special Waste) to primarily cover northern California to Portland, Oregon. Work from home or based at one of our facilities in the area is possible.
Successful candidate will develop relationships with prospective waste generators and sell the Covanta4Recovery Non-Hazardous Industrial Waste, Assured Destruction, and Landfill Avoidance services in the assigned geography, customers and facilities. Coordinate with the Customer Service and Waste Approval teams (internal CSS employees) to ensure all aspects of existing accounts are efficiently and effectively managed. Responsibilities include:
New Growth Markets – Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow Non-Hazardous Industrial Waste revenues for CSS.
Leverage Relationships – Use marketplace contacts to identify and secure new business opportunities.
Forecast and Budget – Responsible for active input, communication and oversight of monthly forecast and annual budget process for assigned facilities, direct accounts, and 3rd Party waste service companies.
3rd Party Waste Service Companies – Develop, implement, and monitor plans for assigned Waste Service Companies. Use extended sales team to manage local opportunities.
CSS Sales and Marketing Processes – Follow established processes regarding: Contracts, Credit, Pricing, Processes, Procedures, and Documentation.
Perform other duties as required.
Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience with customer service and account management issues in the Hazardous or Non-hazardous waste industry.
Ability to develop a keen understanding of and easily communicate the needs of the CSS Waste Approval and Facility Operations process to prospective generators.
Capability to understand and work in a highly regulated and technical industry
Building and maintaining service partner relationships.
Travel – up to 80%
