The Business Analyst is directly accountable/responsible for successful delivery of Public Sector ECM process transformation and change management initiatives. The Business Analyst will also have direct involvement in business case development and performance measurement. This individual provides hands-on leadership, direction, and mentoring to the team as well as manages client relationships throughout the full lifecycle.

In addition, the Business Analyst will participate design/build/configure/deploy and roll out an integrated Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems, addressing several business and application solutions, migration of existing content from multiple sources, streamlining user access to content and content-enabling the existing PeopleSoft ERP/Human Resources applications.

The Business Analyst must be able to effectively facilitate requirements gathering through use of live sessions and tools; possess knowledge and skills to define, document and prioritize client business needs and functions; diagram solutions in visual/diagram format; and break down business needs/tasks into viable features and requirements, then communicate with developers to design application.

The Business Analyst will also be involved with the Business Requirements Assessment, Design, Build Consulting, Migration/Test Consulting, and Training.

Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the Metro area or at an IBM client site.

Generally projects and clients are within the Metro area and require very limited travel outside of the local area. However, some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally less than 1 year. Consultants are required to be flexible with their ability to travel and cannot refuse projects due to travel.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years experience in business requirements analysis
  • At least 3 years experience in working with functional users to extract detailed requirements and producing actionable requirements
  • At least 3 years experience in translating between business and technical requirement - ability to articulate needs to ensure the defined solution is on target for stakeholders
  • At least 3 years experience in analysis techniques e.g. process modelling techniques, data modelling techniques, functional goal decomposition techniques.
  • At least 3 years experience in synthesizing requirements into clear, concise, testable and implementable requirements and specifications.
  • Readiness to travel Up to 5 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • English: Basic knowledge

Preferred
  • At least 5 years experience in business requirements analysis
  • At least 3 years experience in design/deployment of FileNet Enterprise Content Management Systems
  • At least 5 years experience in working with functional users to extract detailed requirements and producing actionable requirements
  • At least 5 years experience in translating between business and technical requirement - ability to articulate needs to ensure the defined solution is on target for stakeholders
  • At least 5 years experience in analysis techniques e.g. process modelling techniques, data modelling techniques, functional goal decomposition techniques.
  • At least 5 years experience in synthesizing requirements into clear, concise, testable and implementable requirements and specifications.
  • At least 3 years experience in FileNet Solutions, FileNet Integration/Content Collection Solutions with Lotus Notes, IBM Connections, Websphere WCM, File Systems, MS SharePoint; PeopleSoft, Peoplesoft Integration, Education Exper.
  • English : Intermediate
