The successful candidate will hold the title of the David and Ellen Raisbeck Endowed Deanship, a $3 million endowment of which the proceeds are used solely to support the dean's priorities for the college.

Established in 1984, the College of Business is accredited by AACSB International and includes academic departments of accounting, finance, management, marketing, and supply chain and information systems. Its mission is to conduct and share research to educate tomorrow's business leaders and to prepare them to deal with multi-disciplinary, global, technological, ethical, and diversity challenges. The college enrolls 3,525 undergraduate and graduate students whose high-tech college home is the Gerdin Business Building, where students and faculty replicate real-world situations in areas such as securities trading, management information systems, and market research. The dean will be responsible for providing a unique and creative interdisciplinary focus to the college that reflects and complements the science and technology strengths of Iowa State University. The dean will also lead the college to greater national and international academic prominence while fully integrating the university's missions of learning, research, and outreach.
