The Washington Post is seeking an Account Manager for our Cars.com division.
Manage and grow existing account list;
Analyze clients'' and prospects'' advertising and marketing needs and consultatively recommend appropriate advertising solutions; quote rates and schedule advertising;
Seek out opportunities to drive incremental sales while managing existing business; aggressively pursue opportunities for new business;
Work within a structured schedule that incorporates planned time for out bounding and setting appointments, outside sales calls, sales planning, and generating opportunities;
Achieve and exceed personal sales goals;
Sell across the Cars.com product portfolio;
Build and maintain strong client relationships;
Maintain complete records on active and historic advertiser activity in Salesforce.com;
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, trade journals, etc. as they pertain to your accounts.
Ability to identify, build and sustain long-term profitable business relationships directly with clients.
Establishes rapport at multiple levels of the client organization.
Provides a high level of client service and follow up.
Follows proven, defined sales process for a full cycle of selling activities.
Ability to work within a structured daily schedule.
Ability to prospect aggressively and identify new opportunities.
Establishes courses of action to achieve both short and long term sales goals.
Communication and Presentation Skills:
Professional and polished in-person presentation and communication skills.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with the following software is helpful: Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and Salesforce.com.
- Reliable transportation (automobile - leased or owned) is a must.
