Job Title: Senior Clinical Application Analyst (Neuron)
Location: New Castle, DE
The following position has been approved for funding through the CMS Healthcare Innovation Challenge grant. This position is approved for 3 years, through FY2015. At the completion of the grant duration it is anticipated, but not guaranteed, that this position will be allocated to support ongoing operations and will absorbed into the IT staffing as permanent positions.
The Clinical Application Analyst will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of Coldlight's Neuron product, and ongoing relationship between CCHS and Neuron. Facilitate software implementation, configuration, and (with clinical analyst) user training. Ongoing monitoring of data configuration and interfaces that impact system function. Responsible for application testing and participates in integration testing. Responsible for reacting to software upgrades and events.
Responsible for software implementations, upgrades, configuration and support of multiple Patient Financial Services (PFS) computer applications with the major focus on Operational Readiness and Operations work. . This includes coordinating all aspects of sustaining applications in our technical environment. Emphasis for this position will be on medium to complex applications. Works as part of the Information Technology team to resolve application problems and support operations of assigned software. Uses current system and computer technology, and designs, installs and insures continuing operation of systems in all functional areas of CCHS. Acts as an internal consultant to management in disciplines and processes such as scheduling, patient access, master patient index, revenue cycle, billing, claims processing, document management and reporting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities in addition to those identified above:
Work with a team of IT and end-user professionals in the ongoing development and support of business systems. Perform Operational Readiness duties on PFS applications via oncall rotation.
Utilize business knowledge to identify opportunities for improvement of existing and/or new information technology that will drive value to the business. Must possess the ability to stay ahead of rapidly changing technologies and to interface the various system components in order to produce effective and efficient solutions.
Maintain strong communications with Project Leader/Manager as well as other team/staff members, end-users and vendors to ensure a productive and cooperative environment. Communications will be at a professional level.
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration, or experience consistent with the Application Analyst job responsibilities.
-Graduate work in business areas would be desirable, but not essential.
-Four to six years of experience in Information Technology.
-Experience in a healthcare environment.
-Knowledge of administrative systems and software applications including MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, SQL, Crystal Reports and HL7.
