Job Description Sensus USA seeks to hire a Security Architect to join our Security Team, who will drive the security architecture, design and implementation of the Sensus end-to-end system.

The Architect will write technical specifications and functional and non-functional requirements for the Sensus system including Head end systems, Base stations, endpoints and field tools. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to support and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that system architecture initiatives are in alignment with corporate directives. This key person will also have experience allocating and planning work with development staff. Essential Functions • Provide security architecture and design oversight for security projects.

  • Risk analysis, risk management, and communication of results with hardware and software development managers • Review of evolving standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends to keep abreast of cyber security issues relevant to AMI solution. Identify system strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, and needed features to achieve compliance and/or improve the value proposition of Sensus AMI solution • Create and formalize security processes and procedures. • Determine testing requirements and strategies for full system integration tests • Work with product hardware and software managers to establish and maintain recommended design and development practices, coding standards, testing standards and engineering standards for security • Collaborate with cross-project teams for risk assessments, customer disclosure, identification of security vulnerabilities, patch development, and patch implementation • May drive or perform such activities as Standards compliance, Cyber Security Plan Formation, Redundancy/Disaster Recovery planning. Job Requirement Requirements: • 12 years of experience in IT and/or Engineering fields, with 6 years experience in security architecture and design • Strong background in computer/network security, authentication/authorization • Experience with 32-bit RISC processors such as MIPS, ARM preferred • Understanding of security protocols and cryptography, key management • Experience in threat modeling, risk assessments, application and network vulnerability assessments • Firewall, router, switch administration experience • Utility, AMI/AMR industry knowledge preferred • Industrial control system/SCADA, PLC, DCS, embedded system experience preferred Education and/or Certifications: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, and/or Computer Science or equivalent work experience; advanced degree desirable, but no required.
  • Cyber certifications (CISSP, CISM or similar) preferred
