Electrical Facility Cognizant System Engineer
The Electrical Systems Cognizant System Engineer is

responsible for:
  • Performing engineering evaluations and problem
analysis for facility electrical systems and
associated components.
  • Providing emergent support, with direction, to
evaluate and resolve issues associated with assigned
area/systems.
  • Preparing technical work documents and technical
specifications for preventive and corrective
maintenance of Site electrical systems and
components.
  • Reviewing alteration, modification and construction
designs performed through subcontracted services and
by design-build subcontractors.
  • Performing field surveys and condition assessments,
preparation of technical design changes and other
construction or system alteration documentation.
  • Developing technical and programmatic
recommendations and reports usually requiring
integration across multiple technical disciplines.
This includes short and long term planning with
technical recommendations and budget estimates
within the assigned area of cognizance.
  • Interface with multiple parties including
engineering, compliance staff, operations and
maintenance personnel, procurement, architect
engineering firms, constructions and maintenance
subcontractors and KAPL's customer.
  • Provide requirements to effectively troubleshoot,
isolate and solve electrical problems in Site
systems.
Selected applicants will be subject to a Federal

Job Requirements:
Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering or Marine
Engineering.

effectively articulating technical information and
concepts to team members and stakeholders. • Experience

reports. • Demonstrated experience developing and
delivering presentations to all levels of an
organization.
