We are a bakery company that produces millions of loaves of bread weekly! We are looking for a few good individuals to keep our plant running at full throttle! We are looking for Maintenance Mechanics to keep us in the dough!
WHAT DOES THIS JOB ENTAIL?
The position will be responsible to perform inspections and preventive, emergency and other maintenance/mechanical repair of bakery equipment to ensure safe operational status. Includes routine servicing, in addition to major functional repair/maintenance, and includes building/facility maintenance.
Adheres to company preventive maintenance schedule; performs maintenance/repair work in accordance with established company standards and manufacturer specifications.
Performs equipment preventive maintenance services using appropriate checklists; inspects, analyzes and diagnoses all machine and assembly problems and defects, using diagnostic equipment as required.
Performs all needed adjustments, repairs, rebuilding, replacements and installations of machine assembley components; ensures that all guards removed are properly replaced.
Accounts for all labor, parts and operational supplies in an accurate and timely fashion; initiates and completes all necessary documentation to comply with Federal State and local regulatory requirements.
Responds to breakdowns in a prompt and appropriate manner to minimize downtime, overtime, cost and interruption of sales/customer service.
Wears personal protective equipmenet as required and provided by the company; wears appropriate uniform/clothing in accordance with CMP's/company standards.
Ensures safe and proper use of tools and equipment; ensures hand tools are free of defects; mainains neat and orderly work area, including proper storage/disposal of lubricants solvents, paint and other chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies and company policy.
Maintains current knowledge of maintenance methods and practices, including use of diagnostic equipment and procedures recommended by equipment manufacturer.
Communicates/coordinates with other departments and maintenance personnel to ensure optimum, efficient utilization of the company's equipment manufacturer.
Practices and complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and other work rules; includes compliance with all regulatory mandates, such as lockout/tagout, electrical safety, confined spaces, etc.

Basic math and communication skills and knowledge to accomplish required paperwork, and read technical manuals, instructions, safety and warning signs, etc.
Knowledge and ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment. Should be skilled at operating welding/brazing equipment, lathes, milling machines and other shop equipment.
Plant maintenance experience
high school (or GED equivalent) required, preferably with trade school certification;
PLC knowledge.
