Assistant Professor Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D in the biophysical, biological or life sciences, engineering, or related field from a college or university of recognized standing
Demonstrated ability as a teacher
Demonstrated scholarly achievement
Poise and good address for meeting and conferring with others
Associate Professor Minimum Qualifications
Same as Assistant, plus a minimum of four years of full-time college or university teaching at the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent, with evidence of increasing maturity
Publication record commensurate with the rank
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize assigned activities, including the supervision of work of assistants when appropriate
Ability to serve as a role model for students and junior colleagues
Professor Minimum Qualifications
Same as Associate, plus a minimum of four years of full-time college or university teaching at the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent, with evidence of increasing professional maturity
Research produtivity which has resulted in significant recognition by the national or international community
Demonstrated capacity of leadership in the department and scholarly discipline
